Rehearsals

Community Band of the Palouse (CBoP) rehearses weekly throughout the year (typically taking breaks for a few weeks after the holidays and in late July/August). Rehearsal locations may vary – please see our calendar for specifics (usually Pullman High School Band Room or the Latah County Fairgrounds Events Center).

What to BRING to rehearsal:

  • your instrument
  • your music (please speak with our music manager if you would like to check out a folder!)

Time: Tuesday evenings, 7:30 to 9:00 PM
Who: Adult band musicians interested in sharing their love of music with others. It is important that you have had 2 or more years experience playing in a musical group (band or orchestra).

Performances: The entire band plays 5 or more concerts per year as listed below (CBoP). A small subset of the band, about 10-12 musicians, perform as Auf Gehts German Band and play upwards of 12 gigs throughout the year. Additionally, special music for memorial services and other life celebrations can be coordinated upon request.

CBoP typically plays the following annual concerts:

  • Spring Concert
  • Reaney Park Concert, Pullman
  • Pullman 4th of July Celebration at Sunnyside Park
  • Fall or Veteran’s Day Concert
  • Winter or Holiday Concert

Auf Gehts German Band plays the following annual gigs:

  • Palouse Ice Cream Social
  • Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast
  • Pullman Music on Main
  • Johnson Parade (July 4th)
  • Various community performances (Three Forks River & Arts Festival, Pullman Oktoberfest, Moscowberfest)

Please contact us at palouseband@gmail.com if you have any questions or if you’d like to discuss reasonable accommodations to allow participation!
